1. Terms

This website is designed to be an information resource for those planning to refurbish their home and for professionals who help their clients make refurbishment choices.

By accessing and using this website, you are agreeing to be bound by these website Terms and Conditions of Use, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site. The materials contained in this website are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.

Harrisons reserves the right to make changes to these Terms and Conditions which will be effective once they are published on this site. By using this website you are agreeing to be bound by the then current version of these Terms and Conditions of Use.

Harrisons website means all New Zealand websites, mobile sites and Apps that we own and/or operate from time to time regardless of how these sites are accessed.

2. Use License

Business use If you would like to use any material from the Harrisons website, please contact the Harrisons Marketing team by email to marketing@hah.co.nz or call NZ 0800 279 009.

Personal use

Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials (information or software) on Harrisons' website for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

• modify or copy the materials;
• use the materials for any commercial purpose, or for any public display (commercial or non-commercial);
• attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on the Harrisons' website;
• remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials; or
• transfer the materials to another person or "mirror" the materials on any other server.

This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by Harrisons at any time. Upon terminating your viewing of these materials or upon the termination of this license, you must destroy any downloaded materials in your possession whether in electronic or printed format.

Professional interior designers/specifiers may download all product information required for the purpose of specification and product application of Harrisons' products.

3. Limitations

In no event shall Harrisons or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption,) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on Harrisons' Internet site, even if Harrisons or a Harrisons authorised representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage. Because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties, or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, these limitations may not apply to you. If however your damages fall under the Consumer Guarantees Act we will meet our obligations under the Act.

4. Content

Harrisons will endeavour to ensure that any content will be current, accurate or complete when you access it. If you spot an error or a page that isn't working correctly please let us know by email to marketing@hah.co.nz.

5. Links

Harrisons has not reviewed all of the sites linked to its Internet website and is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by Harrisons of the site. Use of any such linked website is at the user's own risk.

6. Governing Law

Any claim relating to Harrisons' website shall be governed by the laws of the Country of New Zealand without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

GENERAL

1.The Specific Rules for a Promotion, along with these General Rules, form the terms and conditions for the Promotion (the “Rules”).

2.The Promotion is open to New Zealand residents only. In addition to any restrictions noted in the Specific Rules, the following individuals may not enter this Promotion:

(a)Employees of Harrisons or Local Busines Owners, participating sponsors, promoters and/or associated advertising agencies (and their family members);

(b)anyone who has been made aware of non-public details of the Promotion by employees of Harrisons, participating sponsors, promoters and/or associated advertising agencies (and their family members);

(c)anyone who has won a prize from Harrisons running this Promotion either

in the 14 days prior to the Promotion start date or (where the prize was valued at over $1000) during the period 90 days prior to the Promotion start date;

(d)anyone under 18 years old, unless otherwise stated in the Specific Rules.

3.Unless otherwise specified in the specific rules, entrants must complete all stages of entry themselves. Entries cannot be sent in through agents or third parties on another person’s behalf, and websites or multiple accounts will be disqualified.

4.Harrisons decision is final in relation to the selection of prize winner(s), any dispute regarding the Rules, and/or the conduct or the results of a Promotion.

5.Harrisons reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion or Prize and/or vary the Rules at any time without prior notice.

6.Harrisons may refuse or disqualify any entry (including winning entries) if Harrisons decides in its sole discretion that the entrant has not complied with these Rules, or if he or she has acted in a way which Harrisons reasonably considers to be inappropriate, unlawful, offensive or otherwise not in the spirit of the Promotion. If the winning entry is disqualified, Harrisons reserves the right to award the prize to another entrant without notice to the disqualified entrant(s).

7.Where a winner is selected by a voting mechanism: Harrisons decision on voting arrangements and validity of votes will be final. Harrisons reserves the right to discount votes if Harrisons suspects bulk voting is taking, or has taken place, to inappropriately influence or manipulate the voting procedures. Harrisons reserves the right to disqualify anyone who is suspected of engaging in, or benefitting from, irregular or fraudulent voting.

8.The Promotion is governed by New Zealand law.

PRIZES

9.Harrisons reserves the right to substitute the prize(s) for a prize of equivalent or greater monetary value.

10.If the winner(s) can’t be contacted within a reasonable time period or are not able or available to accept the prize for any reason which is beyond Harrisons' reasonable control, then Harrisons reserves the right to award the prize to another entrant.

11.Prizes are personal to the winners and can’t be transferred to someone else. If the winner can’t accept the prize for any reason (e.g. the winner can’t travel on the required dates), Harrisons can award the prize to another winner. Prizes are not exchangeable for cash or another item.

12.Where the prize includes air travel and/or accommodation, either international or domestic, the winner (and any travel companion) are responsible for paying all additional costs associated with the prize that are not specifically included, including (where applicable) transport to and from the respective airports, and any other transport (other than the flights awarded as part of the prize), accommodation, meal costs, spending money, insurance, travel documentation and all other incidentals. Winners must be responsible for having a valid passport and organising and meeting any visa requirements.

13.Harrisons will not be liable for any prize(s) that do not reach the winners for reasons beyond Harrisons’ reasonable control. Where a prize is being supplied by a third party, Harrisons accept no responsibility in connection with the provision of the prize, including without limitation, the failure of the winner to receive ownership of, or use of, the prize or any performance issues associated with the prize.

14.Harrisons will not be liable for failure to provide (or delay in providing) the Prize resulting from any events, circumstances or causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of god (natural disasters), acts of war or terrorism, national emergencies, issues of public health and safety, mechanical breakdown, industry disputes, riots or failure of communication or power supply or voluntary or involuntary compliance with any regulation, law or order of any government.

15.Prizes may be subject to additional terms and conditions imposed by a third party (for example, vouchers may have additional terms and conditions and/or an expiry date or in the case of travel, additional terms and conditions may be imposed by airlines, service providers and venues).

16.Harrisons will not be responsible for any loss or damage suffered by entrants or anyone else as a result of, arising out of, or in any way connected with the Promotion or its prizes.

17.Where the Promotion is conducted across social media:

(a)Entrants’ conduct must comply with the rules of that social media platform.

(b)The Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Snapchat. These social media platforms are in no way responsible for any aspect of the Promotion.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

18.By entering this Promotion, entrants agree to the use of their names, photographs and likeness for promotional/advertising purposes, and agree to make themselves reasonably available for this purpose. Any copyright associated with an entry will be owned by Harrisons.

A winner will be chosen at random every 6 months. The winners will be chosen on: 9th July and 7th January for each year. The winner will receive the value of their original order (up to a maximum value of $1500.00) usually via the original payment method or via Harrisons credit.

Harrisons User Generated Content - Win back the cost of your order up to a value of $1500 2022 Competition Terms and Conditions

Entrants must have made a purchase and had a Harrisons flooring, window furnishings or solar – between 1st January 2022 and 31st December 2022. The competition closes at 23:50 on 31st December 2022. Entries received after this date will not be considered.
A winner will be chosen at random every 6 months. The 6 monthly winners will be chosen on: 9th July and 7th January each 6 months. The winner will receive the value of their original order (up to a maximum value of $1500) usually via the original payment method or via Harrisons credit.
The competition closes at 23.59 on 31st December 2022. Entries received after this date will not be considered. A customer’s entry is only valid if their original purchase was made between 1st January 2022 and 31st December 2022.
The Competition is not open to employees of Harrisons or their immediate families, or anyone connected with the running of this competition. Entrants must be 18 or over.
The competition will go live on the Harrisons Instagram page https://www.instagram.com/Harrisons_NZ) in the form of a post.
The competition is open to residents of New Zealand.
By including the hashtag #myharrisonshome in your post you agree to our terms and conditions. Any personal data collected will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy: https://www.harrisonscurtains.co.nz/privacy-policy.

If chosen to be featured your social media handle will be displayed alongside your photo on Harrisons social, paid, owned and earned channels as appropriate.
By submitting your photo, you warrant and represent that (i) you own the rights to the photo or, if the photo is subject to third party rights, that you have all required licenses, rights, consents and permissions to publish the photo and grant the necessary rights, that (ii) you are over 18 years of age and (iii) that the Harrisons product featured in the photo is owned by you and was purchased on or after the 1st January 2020.
One winner will be announced per 6 months, on the following dates 5th August and 20th January 2023 through a dedicated post on the Harrisons Instagram and Facebook page. The winner will be asked to get in touch with Harrisons using the email address marketing@hah.co.nz / by direct messaging the Harrisons Instagram page to arrange to receive the value of their order.
Re-posts outside of these dates on the Harrisons Instagram feed or on Harrisons’ Instagram Stories of customer’s entries does not constitute as an announcement or an acknowledgement of that customer winning the prize for that 6 months.
If after reasonable attempts the winner cannot be contacted, Harrisons reserves the right to offer a prize to another entry chosen at random.
The prize as stated is not transferable.
The winner will receive their prize within 60 days of being notified.
The Terms & Conditions will be uploaded under the Terms and Conditions section on our website and the competition post will note this so users can read the T&Cs for the competition.
Unsuccessful entrants will not be contacted and no feedback on any entry will be provided. The judges' decisions will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Harrisons reserves the right, with or without cause, to exclude any entrant in this competition or withhold the prizes where there has been any violation of these terms and conditions.
Harrisons reserves the right to amend or withdraw this Competition in whole or in part, temporarily or permanently, without prior notice or compensation.
