Lining choice
If an uncoated fabric has been selected then a separate lining must be added to the back. The reason for this is not only to provide longevity and protection to the front cloth but also for insulation purposes as well. There are countless linings available however we have simplified this and ranged the two most popular and functional choices which will provide an option for any application.

Triple Weave
The most superior lining available, Triple Weave linings are mildew resistant and are machine washable offering great insulation properties and up to 60-70% light blockout.
Thermal 3 Pass Coated (100% Light Blockout)
Like a Thermal Coated fabric the suede coating is fused onto the back of a polycotton face cloth. Thermal lining has the same insulation properties as a Triple Weave but do not perform as well against mildew however do provide 100% light blockout, making this the best choice in situations where someone maybe needing to sleep in the room during the day.
Curtains pleat styles
Both the design and composition of the fabric will be deciding factors for the pleat style. Check out the pleat style options below:

Single pleat
A simplistic contemporary pleat which works well on large modern printed fabrics as it does not distract or compete with the feature of the print, as well as plains for a minimalist look. Suitable for use on either a track or rod.

Pencil pleat
A casual soft look using evenly spaced gathered pleats. Suitable for all fabric types & can be used on either a track or rod

Inverted Pleat
A simple minimalist look. Suitable for the use on either plain or striped fabrics and must be fitted on a track rod or ring rod.

Dutch pleat
The most popular pleat style a happy balance between the simplicity of a Single pleat and traditional look of a French Pleat. Suitable for all fabric types and can be used on either a track or a rod.

French pleat
A traditional formal pleat. Can be used on a track or rod not suitable for heavy bulky fabrics.

Wave
Wave pleat curtains have no gathering – just a soft curve for a relaxed, contemporary style.
Roman blind styles
The style of the Roman Blind refers to how the blind will stack when pulled up.
Roman blinds stack neatly above the top of the window for a sleek contemporary finish. Available in two styles, backspaced where the pleats fold neatly behind the front pleat, and layered where the bottom of each pleat is visible creating a waterfall effect. The headrails can be either manually operated with a cord & cleat or with a chain control mechanism (similar to that of a roller blind) enabling a smooth and tidy operation.

Backstacked with cord control
Only the front pleat of the roman is visible all the other pleats stack entirely behind this. A backstacked roman has a more contemporary feel than a layered and also takes up less stacking space.

Layered with chain control
A Layered stack creates a waterfall effect allowing the bottom of each pleat of the roman to be visible when pulled up.
Curtain tracks & rods
Selecting the right rod or curtain track system will greatly enhance your new curtains.
Curtain Tracks are available in a number of styles and configurations, most Tracks and Rods can be bent or curved to accommodate any window shape. Below are our most popular configurations.

Ultraglide Track
A simplistic track designed purely for functional use, typically these tracks will be matched colour wise as close to the wall colour as possible as they are a non-feature point and will be covered by the Curtain. Ultraglide Tracks are available either hand drawn or cord drawn.

25mm Track Rod
A decorative finish, Track Rods are a feature point and provide the look of a rod but also the full functionality of a standard track (Ultraglide). The Curtain is designed to sit just below the bottom of the Rod. 25mm Track rod can be bent to fit most angles of a window frame (ie Bay Windows) and are also available hand drawn or cord drawn

35mm Track Rod
Identical to the 25mm version, the 35mm track rod is a feature point but with a slightly larger diameter this Track Rod makes a larger statement. This Track Rod to can also be bent and is available either hand drawn or cord drawn. However there are a few limitations with the configurations.
